A very useful engine and the graduate

Well, I haven't posted anything for a bit so I thought I would share what we have been up to the past few weekends. First we went to Heber and had our day out with Thomas, lately Dawson has been loving all things Thomas (he refers to them as cars). I wasn't sure if he would still be to young for this or not but he actually loved it :)

It was a cold day, so that is why we are dressed like it is winter time. When we where taking these pictures all Dawson wanted to do was look at the "cars" so these are the pictures we got where the back of his head is not all that you see.

It was really cute, they took the Heber Creeper and just added the Thomas engine to the front and took you for a short little ride.

When we got in the train Dawson was a little restless until it started then ALL he wanted to do was look out the window! It was cold outside but pretty warm in the train and even warmer when the sun is blaring though your window but Dawson would not move. When the train would blow its whistle he would look around and ask "what's that?" and when he did you could see the sweat matting down the right side of his hair. We tried to move him to a cooler spot but he wanted to be right there, with his head on the glass.

They had a lot of things for the kids to do set up in tents but the train ride was the most exciting part for Dawson.

My little sister Emily graduated from Lone Peak High school, I can't believe that she is already that old! It doesn't seem like it has been that long since I was in my cap and gown...yet it also feels like it has been forever :)

Dawson really love his aunt Emily, she is so cute with him.

All the sisters and our babies :)

A little family picture that Dawson was not too happy about, it was a really nice night and all Dawson wanted to do was run around! It was fun to be there and support Emily but I am glad that we don't have to sit though another one until 2011 when my youngest brother David graduates.

Strength in Numbers

Coming mid November we are adding another number to our family! That's right, we are expecting our second child :) I am 15 weeks along right now and have been feeling really good, so good that when I went in for my 12 week check up I was a little nervous that there wouldn't be a heartbeat. I haven't felt pregnant at all, at least not the way I felt with Dawson. I am sure as time goes on and as I start showing I'll start to feel real pregnant. When we told our parents we had Dawson wear a cute shirt, that I bought online that said "I am going to be a big brother". My mom was holding him when she took off his jacket and read it, she started jumping and yelling and getting all excited which made Dawson start to cry. Hopefully this is not how Dawson really feels about becoming a big brother :) Dave and I are really excited and can't wait to meet our new baby. In about a month we'll find out if we are having a boy or a girl, we will keep you posted :)

Utah Jazz and David Archuleta!

For those of you that don't know, we have season tickets to the Jazz and the only time I have taken my camera is when we have Dawson with us but when David Archuleta came last Friday I just had to bring it again:) Dave and I just LOVE American Idol and Dave loves the Jazz so this was a really great night for both of us! I don't know why I got so excited when David came out, but I did, I was cheering like a 16 year old again (which would make me just the right age for him haha). He did a great job! After he sang he sat across the court and a few rows up. I was watching him during the game and he had so many people coming up to him asking for him to sign a shirt or their ticket or something. I was tempted but he was to far away ;) This first picture is us in our seat I was just getting ready to put on my huge XL blue shirt that they gave us :)

This is David just getting ready to sing, it was the best picture I could get. He had so many people and camera's around him!

Here he is up on the big screen!

And of course I have to add a quick picture of my favorite jazz player #26 Kyle Korver. Too bad its just the back of his head.
As I am writing this I am also watching to Jazz Game in LA, the Jazz aren't looking that good so hopefully they'll win tonight!! Dave went to LA for the game so maybe if he starts cheering louder they'll win :)

GO JAZZ!!

Worn out

I took Dawson out with me on a trip to the mall, lunch and a stop at the bank where he got this sucker and he fell asleep after only a few licks. I guess I just need to slow down some times and give the boy his nap! :)

He is here!!

Yippy! My sister Ashley had her first baby on April 29! Brayden Blackham was born at 9:30 pm weighed 8lb 3oz and is 20 1/2 inches tall. He is so cute I just love him!
This is Ashley and Brayden just a few minutes after he was born. It took about 16 hours of hard work but Brayden is finally here! He got a little banged up during the birth so he has a scab on his eye and some marks on his face.
Look at those big eyes! Brayden is the 2nd grand baby on both sides and Dawson was excited to now have a boy cousin, he was giving him some sweet kisses on the head. You did a great job Ashley we are so excited for you!!

What we've been doing!

Okay so I have been a major slacker when it comes to my blog, so I am just going to post some of the stuff that we have been up to the past few months.
We finished our basement!! I am so happy that it is done, it was SO dusty in my house (it still is). I am so happy to have my house back to myself, without workers going in and out disrupting Dawsons nap times!

Here are some before pictures...well actually this was after it had been started, I think the electrical was being done.

This is my SUPER dusty floor going down into the basement.

This is my kitchen table, I had to add the face so you would be able to see that thin layer of dust. It was everywhere!

This is the basement after, so much better! Right now all we have down there is the love sac, someday we'll get a t.v. and couch but I am just so excited that it is done I don't really care :)

The basement is now Dawsons favorite place to run around, he doesn't like it when I make him come back up stairs.
This is the new bathroom downstairs, Dave and my dad put the cabinet in and it looks so good.

It has been about a month but we also went to the 1st Blaze game of the year. I think that Dawson almost liked it better then the Jazz games. The crowd there gets a little more crazy, I think that Dawson was clapping the entire game!

And of course there was Easter, we had a lot of fun. With both our parents living in Alpine we have to share the holidays. We had two Easter dinners with each family. One at 1pm the next dinner at 4pm, we were full by the end of the day. Dawson was not sure why we made him pick up eggs and put it into a basket but he did it anyway :)

Dawson was not really that interested in coloring the eggs.Well there are a few of the things that we have been up to :)

All about Dawson

Dawson got tagged by Coleman, which I thought was so cute, it has just taken me a while to get on and post a blog. I am going to try in the next few days to post a blog of all the fun stuff we have been up to.

Dawsons Tag:

This picture was taken the other day after he woke up from his nap, he had gotten sweaty and then moved around like crazy and was standing up in his crib calling "daddy daddy". His hair has since been cut :( his dad thought it was getting to long.

8 things about Dawson:

1. He LOVES music, if I am watching TV while he is playing and a commercial with fun music comes on he will stop whatever he is doing and get up and clap and dance. I also play the Wicked sound track in the mornings while we eat breakfast and he comes running in the kitchen as soon as he hears the 1st song, I need to get it on video it is priceless. Any children's show with lots of music and singing keeps him entertained!

2. His latest favorite word is what's that, it sounds like whaazz at. He brings me things constantly asking "what's that" then saying "ohhh" after I tell him. Only to have him ask again 1 second later.

3. Loves his veggies, he would rather eat his carrots then his fruit at lunch time. I hope this last all his life!

4.Cell phones are one his favorite toys, he holds it to his ear and says "hi daddy" I have yet to get a phone call from him, I guess he figures I am always around.

5. He loves balls and ball games, he always carries his ball with him and if he ever sees a ball game of any kind on TV he will yell "ball ball". He recently noticed that when we are sitting in church you can see the basketball hoop up in the gym and yells "ball ball" during sacrament.

6. He will give you pats on the back if you hold him and he is excited to see you or if you get him out of his crib.

7. He is fearless or just does understand the laws of gravity quite yet. He will stand on the couch and just try to wall off, he has fallen down my parents stairs also. I think that slowly he is learning, after that fall on the stairs he is a little more careful.

8. When Dawson was born the nurses said "oh my gosh!" (yeah a little scary) followed by "he is huge, hurry get him on the scale!"

That was fun :) Dawson now tags: Brock Robinson, Hyrum Hatch, Lili Lundeen, and Emmie Dowland
