Future Tiger Woods?

Dave really enjoys golf and goes about twice a week or more, so on Saturday night he decided he wanted to take Dawson and I to the country club for our first time golfing. I got some of Daves old clubs and Dawson had his plastic ones and we were off to play our first nine holes :) Dawson really enjoyed the golf cart, he would steer for Dave, the only thing was that he would try to steer nice and straight as we were headed right for some trees so Dave would try to turn as Dawson would try and hold it straight :)

This is me about to tee off reminding Dave that I really have no idea what I am doing. Turns out my drives did not go that far (imagine that haha) so I would tee off and most the time just pick up my ball and continue from where Daves ball ended up.

I really like Dawsons form in this picture, he is a great golfer! The plastic club and one hand was a great strategy he won for sure!

Dawson was very helpful when we were up on the green making our putts, if we got close to the hole Dawson was nice enough to just pick it up and put it in for us :) Here Dawson is clapping after he had thrown our balls into the hole for us. He looks so proud.

I think that Dawson may have thought that the bunkers were fun sandboxes so we had to try to keep him out of those as much as we could. He was distracted by his club and ball pretty easily though.

Overall I think that it was fun for all of us, even though Dawson and I may have slowed Daves game down a bit. Dave is excited to someday take his two boys out golfing.

Out on the lake

We took Dawson out the boat for the first time, and all he really wanted to do was drive. I had to keep him distracted while Dave was driving because all he wanted to do was be next to him driving. He liked the ride, although he was a little unsure of all the wind blowing in his face.

None of us got in the water mostly it was just a nice drive and hanging out on the lake.

Notice Dawsons face in this picture..he is trying to smile while we were driving :)

Boating was in the afternoon right during a nap so by the end of the ride he got real grumpy until all the sudden he was OUT!

Summer Days

A few of the things we've been up to so far this summer...
We took Dawson to his first Bees baseball game, I don't think it was as exciting as the Jazz or Blaze but I think he had a good time. We went with Nana Lana and Grandpa Stan and they got him a bees hat and a baseball which he calls his basketball.

We went and played down in St. George, before it got hot in Utah County. It was still ridiculously hot down there though.

My Dad had a birthday and we got him this fire pit for the backyard. Dawson loved to watch the fire and tell us that it is hot.

There were more summer pictures to post but my computer is being dumb so I will try to upload the rest later :)

Snakes, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

On Tuesday we found out that we are having another BOY! We are really excited, I think that it will be so nice for Dawson to have someone to play "bat-it-ball" and cars with. The new little guy looked real healthy and is measuring perfectly for my due date, Nov. 15. He was face down laying on his stomach so a profile picture was kinda hard to get but he had his legs nice and spread out to show that he was for sure a boy. I guess I will just have to get used to this house being all boy :) Dave is excited because now he gets another boy to take to sporting events.

A very useful engine and the graduate

Well, I haven't posted anything for a bit so I thought I would share what we have been up to the past few weekends. First we went to Heber and had our day out with Thomas, lately Dawson has been loving all things Thomas (he refers to them as cars). I wasn't sure if he would still be to young for this or not but he actually loved it :)

It was a cold day, so that is why we are dressed like it is winter time. When we where taking these pictures all Dawson wanted to do was look at the "cars" so these are the pictures we got where the back of his head is not all that you see.

It was really cute, they took the Heber Creeper and just added the Thomas engine to the front and took you for a short little ride.

When we got in the train Dawson was a little restless until it started then ALL he wanted to do was look out the window! It was cold outside but pretty warm in the train and even warmer when the sun is blaring though your window but Dawson would not move. When the train would blow its whistle he would look around and ask "what's that?" and when he did you could see the sweat matting down the right side of his hair. We tried to move him to a cooler spot but he wanted to be right there, with his head on the glass.

They had a lot of things for the kids to do set up in tents but the train ride was the most exciting part for Dawson.

My little sister Emily graduated from Lone Peak High school, I can't believe that she is already that old! It doesn't seem like it has been that long since I was in my cap and gown...yet it also feels like it has been forever :)

Dawson really love his aunt Emily, she is so cute with him.

All the sisters and our babies :)

A little family picture that Dawson was not too happy about, it was a really nice night and all Dawson wanted to do was run around! It was fun to be there and support Emily but I am glad that we don't have to sit though another one until 2011 when my youngest brother David graduates.

Strength in Numbers

Coming mid November we are adding another number to our family! That's right, we are expecting our second child :) I am 15 weeks along right now and have been feeling really good, so good that when I went in for my 12 week check up I was a little nervous that there wouldn't be a heartbeat. I haven't felt pregnant at all, at least not the way I felt with Dawson. I am sure as time goes on and as I start showing I'll start to feel real pregnant. When we told our parents we had Dawson wear a cute shirt, that I bought online that said "I am going to be a big brother". My mom was holding him when she took off his jacket and read it, she started jumping and yelling and getting all excited which made Dawson start to cry. Hopefully this is not how Dawson really feels about becoming a big brother :) Dave and I are really excited and can't wait to meet our new baby. In about a month we'll find out if we are having a boy or a girl, we will keep you posted :)

Utah Jazz and David Archuleta!

For those of you that don't know, we have season tickets to the Jazz and the only time I have taken my camera is when we have Dawson with us but when David Archuleta came last Friday I just had to bring it again:) Dave and I just LOVE American Idol and Dave loves the Jazz so this was a really great night for both of us! I don't know why I got so excited when David came out, but I did, I was cheering like a 16 year old again (which would make me just the right age for him haha). He did a great job! After he sang he sat across the court and a few rows up. I was watching him during the game and he had so many people coming up to him asking for him to sign a shirt or their ticket or something. I was tempted but he was to far away ;) This first picture is us in our seat I was just getting ready to put on my huge XL blue shirt that they gave us :)

This is David just getting ready to sing, it was the best picture I could get. He had so many people and camera's around him!

Here he is up on the big screen!

And of course I have to add a quick picture of my favorite jazz player #26 Kyle Korver. Too bad its just the back of his head.
As I am writing this I am also watching to Jazz Game in LA, the Jazz aren't looking that good so hopefully they'll win tonight!! Dave went to LA for the game so maybe if he starts cheering louder they'll win :)

GO JAZZ!!
