Choo Choo!

We took Dawson to Day Out with Thomas again this year and he loved it. Jordan just enjoyed being out, smiling as always :) We rode on Thomas and went through the straw maze. Dawson also got some train "tattoos" (that we called stickers), that he was showing to all the animals at the petting zoo. It is so funny how much he loves Thomas and all the other trains, he got a new book while we were there and can name every train in the book and there are A LOT of trains! The tattoos and wristband that he got stayed on his arms for over a week, everytime I asked if he wanted me to cut off the wristband for him he said "no, its nice".

Jordan is also growing up so fast! He has two teeth and is crawling everywhere. Now that he is crawling he can get to the toys that he wants faster and that has become a problem for Dawson because it seems like the most interesting toys to Jordan are the ones that Dawson is playing with. So now I am hearing a lot of "no baby!" So Dawson is having to learn to share a lot more. Jordan doesn't seem to mind, he thinks Dawson is funny no matter what he says :)

When in Rome

When in Rome…
Throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain

Sit on the Spanish steps

Visit the Vatican

Step way back in time and see the Colosseum and Forum

And don’t forget the Pantheon and gelato

Then hop on a cruise boat and stop in Florence

Get off the boat in Portofino and hop another small boat to the beautiful towns of cinque terre

Of course a little visit to Monte Carlo

Then off to the island of Corsica to the small old town Bonifacio

Next a quick stop in Africa in the country of Tunisia

Last stop in Barcelona Spain

Make sure on your way home you have a lay over in Paris so that you can see the Eiffel tower from your plane window when you fly in

Well at least that is what Dave and I did, “when in Rome”.

Sorry for all the pictures, but consider yourself lucky these are only a few of the pictures we took. Such a fun Trip!! We are glad to be home though, we missed our boys.

WWF

I put Jordan on my bed for a second and Dawson decided to join him, so I thought I'd take a few pictures of my cute boys on the bed and that turned into wrestle mania. It usually turns into some kind of wrestling match with Dawson though. Poor Jordan will just have to toughen up real fast!

A sweet little kiss right before the match began :)

Don't worry, no one was injured in this match. I played referee for a minute while Dave took the camera.

Boys sure are fun.

We do own beds...

I was on the computer and Jordan was "having fun" in his bouncer, ok truthfully I could tell he was getting a little bored. He wasn't crying and I was just going to be a another minute, well next thing you know I look over at the poor little guy and see this...

not only was he asleep, but he was also snoring. He had gone from awake to fast asleep in about 2 seconds! I got him out to put him in his bed and he already had lines on his forehead from sleeping like that.

Then Dawson not wanting to take a nap, plays in his room for a while until I find him sleeping like this in his chair. (photo is from my cell phone so it's not that great) Wow, you would think that my children don't have beds!

Spring Training

It has been a little to cold outside for the boys to go golfing, so what do you do? Bring the golf into the garage! Dave recently bought this net and the "grass" pad to practice his swing inside the garage, and Dawson was so eager to join him. The only rule is to pull the cars out, just in case. :)

We are so ready for warmer weather!!

Nap Time

Dawson was having a hard time going down for his afternoon nap, I tucked him in bed and read him some stories and he just kept coming out. I was in my bedroom with Jordan when I heard something, sure enough Dawson was trying to sneak downstairs to play, I told him to get in bed and take a nap but still he came out again. Finally he decided to just stay in his room, I could still hear him playing but I figured at least he was in his room. A little while later my mom and sister came over to say hi, they peeked into Dawson's room to see if he was awake and this is what they found...

Fast asleep...

The big black thing next to his head is an old football helmet that sits on his nightstand, apparently he was playing with it. Under his blanket is a book that we were reading, that looks real comfortable ;)

And in Jordan news... this is how much he enjoyed eating rice cereal for the first time last week

He also got a little hair cut but his hair is so light that it doesn't show up that well in a photo, but he looks like a stud!

Spring has Sprung

Well, I guess it isn't really spring officially until tomorrow but the weather here has been so nice! For the first time last fall Dave and I planted some bulbs, having never done this before we didn't really know what we were doing! With all the warm weather lately I was checking out the yard, and look what I came across....
our flowers are coming up! I was so excited I had to take a picture! First I was excited that we planted the bulbs correctly and that they are actually growing and second I was excited that if these flowers are coming up that means winter is coming to an end. I can't wait for warmer weather!!

Please disregard the weeds that have sprung along side the flowers, I didn't spend that much time outside ;)

Brotherly Love

When Jordan was born and Dawson came to the hospital to meet him, he didn’t really think much of his brother. If fact he didn’t like that I was holding Jordan and didn’t even want to be in the same room as Jordan and I! So needless to say I was a little nervous about what it was going to be like when we got home. Now there is SO much love, almost too much! Whenever I put Jordan down for his morning nap Dawson asks where the baby went, he will run around the house shouting “baby! baby!” until he finds him and will hop up on the crib and say “hi baby!”. Of course this will wake Jordan up, so I have to threaten him with time out whenever he starts looking for his brother. Lately I have been putting a gate in front of Jordan’s room when he takes a nap. (caught in the act!)
Dawson loves to share things with his brother also, many times I will be taking Jordan out of his car seat and find some of Dawson’s cars in there with Jordan. Dawson also tries to share his sippy cups and food with Jordan, which is all a little scary right now but I am hoping it will last as they get older. When we took Dawson to the Jazz game for his birthday it was the first time we left Jordan without Dawson, when we dropped Jordan off at my parents house and got back in the car the first thing Dawson did was look over at where Jordan normally sits and asked “where’d the baby go?” I had to explain that the baby got to stay and play with grandma and he got to go to a basketball game. I love that he misses his brother when he leaves him :) Any sound that Jordan makes Dawson will copy and laugh at, he thinks that Jordan is so funny. Jordan is also very entertained by Dawson! If I am making dinner and Jordan starts to cry I just tell Dawson to go talk to Jordan. Dawson will start to play with him and calm him right down, Dawson has been such a good help with his brother…most the time. When Dawson feels like he needs your full attention he will point to Jordan’s chair and tell you to put him down, but what more can you expect from a two year old. I love my little boys so much and I love to watch them grow and interact together!

A good two years!

I have a two year old!! Dawson turned two last week and of course he had another theme party, this year it was all about Cars the movie. Notice in the picture below Dawson was trying to blow out the candles before we even started singing.First I wanted to take a look back at the last few birthdays :) 4 Days Old

1st Birthday

2nd Birthday!
Dawson had a party the night before his birthday with some family and friends and had a great time!

This was after the pinata was opened, once the kids picked up a few pieces of candy they didn't want the rest, they just wanted to eat it.This was a "jack in the box" that was making all the kids jump whenever it popped!

The night of his birthday Dawson was able to go to the Jazz game! He had a blast!! This picture was just at the start of the game when it was really loud...he really did like it :)

He loved the Jazz bear! The bear come over during the game and gave Dawson a basketball that he had signed. After the bear left us he kept asking, “Where go? Where go?” and “the bear, basketball!” Now that basketball goes everywhere with him!

Dawson is such a fun little boy and always keeps me laughing. I love this little two year old!! A quick shout out to my two sisters that live too far away to make it to the party, we missed you girls!
